Thanks for stopping by! The team at Bali Adventurista consists of me, David Myers, and my partner, Dewi Myers. This is our travel blog.

I’m an Australian who has been living in Bali for nearly a decade now, and Dewi is, of course, local. This island is our home, and we want to share our love for it with others.

We’ll share the highs and the lows of travelling in Bali. The what to dos and the what not to dos, too. Most of all, when we can, we’ll share the “how to do” side of things too.

We’ve broken the site down into 5 easy categories for you to explore: sites (that is, places to see), stays (hotels and other venues to lay your weary head for a night or more), activities (things to do that you can participate in), food and drinks (including everything from guides to the local food to ideas for restaurants and cafes) and others, which incluces everyting else that doesn’t fit into the first four categories. 

Dewi and I are firm believers in the idea that you don’t need to spend a fortune to have a great time on this island, and we’ve got tips for folks on every budget. Sure, Bali isn’t as cheap as it used to be, but where is? In the post-pandemic world, every country is dealing with inflation.

We try to be fair and equitable to every place that we cover or review in Bali Adventurista. It’s our aim to share the best of Bali rather than the worst, so you won’t find much (if any) content raining on anyone’s parade here.
