28 Cleanest Beaches in Bali To Visit: Blue Waters, Clean Sand & No Trash Onshore

The tropical paradise of Bali is the perfect destination for beach lovers: volcanic sand, white sand beaches, and hidden beaches are all over the island.

Unfortunately, some beaches in Bali suffer from plastic and trash being washed onshore during the rainy season, like Jimbaran Beach, as well as some nasty things present in the waters, like Echo Beach.

To know where to go and avoid such beaches while vacationing in Bali, follow our ultimate Bali beach guide.

The beaches in Bali that made it to this list have certain standards of beach cleanliness: clean waters, clean sand, clean beach areas, and the marine life is taken care of.

For your convenience, we also grouped them by popular areas: South Bali (where Canggu is), Uluwatu, East Bali, North Bali, and smaller islands close to Bali.

Cleanest Beaches In South Bali

Berawa Beach (Canggu Beach)

Home to the world’s best beach club – FINNS, Berawa Beach is diligently kept clean with daily beach cleaning organized by the beach club team.

In addition, anyone can join community beach clean-ups every Friday morning. All of that contributes to the fact that Berawa Beach is probably the cleanest beach on the South coast between Kuta Beach and West Bali beaches, and also the prime spot to drink cocktails and watch the sunset on the comfiest sun loungers.

The long strip of soft sand is perfect for walking, jogging, and relaxing.

Pasut Beach

Black sand beach with towering palm trees and fewer crowds, a hidden gem of the West Coast.

The beach is wide and the shore is still green and preserved with much less development compared to touristy beaches in Bali.

It is a perfect spot for a photoshoot too so bring your nice dress to take pictures during sunset. No entrance fees.

Cleanest Beaches In East Bali

Amed Beach

One of the best beaches in Bali for snorkelling to see tropical fish and marine life right from the shore. There are technically many beaches in Amed: Jemeluk Bay Beach and Lipah Beach are quite famous, but anywhere in Amed is good for enjoying clean waters.

it is a long coastal strip lined with fishing boats, cliffs, hills, villas and simple eateries.

Many of them will offer snorkelling gear for just 50,000 IDR (5 AUD). All the beaches in Amed are free.

Pasir Putih Beach (Virgin Beach)

A clean beach near Candidasa fishermen village on the East coast where you can relax on a sun lounger without crowds completely surrounded by old palm trees.

It is one of the nicest white beaches of all the beaches in Bali where you can enjoy snorkelling or swimming in turquoise waters from the shore. After the swim, you can enjoy a simple lunch at an oceanfront cafe.

There is an entrance fee of 10,000 IDR (0.9 AUD).

Nusa Dua Beach

Nusa Dua Beach’s cleanliness benefits from being lined with 5-star resorts and luxury hotels. They all make sure that the white sand beach stays pristine and well-maintained.

It is a family-friendly beach with calm waves and shallow waters by the shore.

But, Nusa Dua Beach is actually a collective name for a few beaches in the area, not are equally nice to swim. Pura Geger beach would be the best destination for a beach day, while Serangan beach is not great for swimming.

Pura Geger Beach

Geger Beach, part of the Nusa Dua beach strip, is probably one of the cleanest beaches in Bali with transparent blue waters that are great for swimming, even for kids. During low tide, the waters expose rocks and sand, and the water level is perfect for dipping your toes.

It is located in between St Regis and Mulia resorts and if you’re staying in one of these, you will be lucky to enjoy food and drinks in one of the beachfront restaurants.

Despite the location being in the luxe resort area, the sun loungers with umbrellas are still around 50,000 IDR (5 AUD). Don’t forget to save an extra 5,000 IDR (0.5 AUD) for the entrance fee.

Sanur Beach

A 5 km paved beachfront walking path alongside golden sands with a touch of sea breeze – this is Sanur! A bit busier and much simpler beach experience than Nusa Dua, but still, very enjoyable.

Lots of kids, dogs, families, and tourists. You can chill, jog, come early to see the sunrise (which is unique for East Coast beaches) or come in the afternoon to hit the night food market after the beach.

Although Sanur Beach is on the East Coast, sometimes the waters are a bit choppy for snorkelling or swimming.

Bias Tugel Beach

Bias Tugel is one of the nicest beaches in Bali that is still sort of hidden from the crowds. It is one of the smallest beaches in Bali too – only a 130-meter sandy stretch along the blue ocean waters. The soft golden sand is mixed up with huge volcanic rocks and turquoise waters that add to the scene.

There is also a 10,000 IDR (0.9 AUD) entrance fee and a little 5-minute walk to get to the beach.

As the beach is located right before Padang Bai port, you can visit it on your way to the boat trip or when coming back.

Even though the beach is harder to reach than some other beaches around, there will be lots of local vendors with sarongs and little things and sun loungers.

Blue Lagoon Beach

Another semi-secret beach near Padang Bai, after the port area. It is one of the most popular areas for snorkelling as it has beautiful underwater coral reefs and vibrant marine life.

The beach itself is down a little cliff, not hard to access, and there will be a relatively small white sand strip to relax. On both sides of the beach entrance, there are simple cafes to grab a snack or a cold coconut.

If you have time, go up the hill to see the temples and admire the panorama of the beach and clear ocean waters.

Keramas Beach

Lesser-known right-hand surf break on the East coast, just 40 minutes driving from Denpasar. It is a stunning 10-km black sand beach with pretty much no one except some locals and curious expats. Tourists very rarely even know about this beach!

It is conveniently located not far away from the fantastic Sababay Winery, where you can enjoy some wine tasting before or after soaking up some sun.

As it is a surf break, while the beach is amazingly clean, it is not good for swimming. The waters often change colour from blue to emerald green – a very scenic spot!

Cleanest Beaches in Uluwatu & Bukit Peninsula

Gunung Payung Beach

Pantai Gunung Payung or Gunung Payung Beach is a destination for water sports, kayaking, and parasliding. It is a small clean white beach with rocks and cliffs stepping right into the water.

You can rent a sunbed with an umbrella to chill. If you are into water sports, renting a kayak is fairly cheap – 50,000 IDR (5 AUD) per hour. There are people here but not a lot, and the atmosphere is really peaceful.

To reach it you need to walk around 500 m of stairs down from the parking lot or you can jump on a shuttle that will take you right to the beach. The entrance fee is around 11,000 IDR (1 AUD) and the shuttle service is paid as well – 25,000 IDR (2.5 AUD) per person one way.

Balangan Beach

One of the most sought-after surfing breaks in Uluwatu. Beautiful narrow white sand beach with clear water. Even though Balangan is so incredibly popular, it remains one of the cleanest beaches in Bali.

The beach is not good for swimming, but you can chill in one of the simple local eateries perched along the beach, or read a book on a rented sun lounger. The parking fee is around 10,000 IDR (0.9 AUD) and there is no additional entrance fee.

It is an extremely pretty beach, especially if you hike up the cliffs surrounding it to get a panoramic view. And the waters are always turquoise and clean.

Green Bowl Beach

Green Bowl is a secluded beach on the southern coast that is separated from the top of the cliff by some 300 stairs with sometimes missing railings. The beach itself is quite small, just sandwiched between the cliffs, but its white sand and waters are super clean and refreshing.

Not suitable for swimming due to very strong currents, ok, but not very popular for surfing, and best for just exploring the caves, taking pictures, and catching a colourful sunset. There are not many options for food and drinks here, though.

The beach is hard to access during high tide, so please check the tide level before coming. Another thing to consider is curious wild monkeys. Don’t leave valuable things on the bike or hanging from pockets.

There are small parking fees (2,000-7,000 IDR/0.2-0.7 AUD) and an entrance fee of 5,000 IDR (0.5 AUD) to get to the Green Bowl beach.

Bingin Beach

It is one of the most popular beaches, with towering cliffs and surrounded by greenery. Despite the fact that there are lots of people, the beach remains one of the cleanest beaches in Bali for surfing.

The cliff is sprinkled with all sorts of villas, small hotels, souvenir shops, and surfboard rentals and to get down to the beach you need to get through the maze (and stairs). The scenic Bingin Beach will be well worth it.

We really encourage you to go down before sunset time, find a good spot, enjoy the sun going down and go up the stairs before it is completely dark. It would be the best time to visit this beach.

There is no entrance fee but you will have to pay for parking (around 5,000 IDR/0.5 AUD).

Melasti Beach

1-km long stunning Melasti beach is well known for its white sand, limestone cliffs, Balinese temples and ceremonial processions and also as a photoshoot spot. Everything is clean and well-preserved.

Unlike many other beaches in Uluwatu, you don’t need to climb up or down the stairs – the parking is right by the beach.

Due to its popularity, though, this beach is much more developed and you will find many pricey beach bars with pools and music.

The entrance fee is 10,000 IDR (0.9 AUD) per person plus you will likely have to pay for parking. We do recommend coming on your own bike or car since getting the taxi back from the beach can be challenging and often priced 2-3 times more than the ride to the beach.

Kubu Beach

Kubu Beach doesn’t get crowded as many people assume, by mistake, that it is a private beach of the AYANA resort. It is not the case, and while, of course, you can still check out the ROCK bar, you don’t have to stay at the resort to go to Kubu Beach.

It is one of these clean small white sand beaches with rocks sticking out of the turquoise waters. For guests of the resort, the sun loungers and beach towels are completely free. Plus, there are always lifeguards on duty, unlike many other Bali beaches.

You will have to either walk down the stairs or use the elevator (if you are staying at the resort and can provide a room number). There is no entrance fee.

Pandawa Beach

Similar to Melasti, Pandawa Beach is harboured by tall limestone cliffs, and is perfect for lounging, dipping toes into warm blue waters, and sunbathing on a rented lounger.

There are seafood restaurants, activities like canoeing or parasliding, and mischievous monkeys at Pandawa Beach.

The most iconic attractions though are the entrance to the beach, between two towering cliffs, and the Mahabharata statues – Pandawa is the name of the heroes from the Hindu epic and it gave the name to the beach.

The entrance fee is 10,000-15,000 IDR (0.9-1.5 AUD) but if you also want to access the cliffs, there is an additional charge of 25,000 IDR (2.5 AUD).

Nyang-Nyang Beach (Nunggalan Beach)

One of the most scenic beaches and cliffs in Bali but only true beach lovers go here since the trek down the cliff is rather challenging and is not always well-maintained.

The large white sand beach stretches along the cliffs and during low tide, hundreds of rocks and tiny tide pools are exposed to explore algae, rock formation and some marine life.

There are sunbeds available for only 50,000 IDR (5 AUD), as well as public showers and toilets (also paid). Sometimes you can be charged a 5,000 IDR (0.5 AUD) entrance fee.

And if you don’t want to walk down the cliff, you may use the services of some local drivers who will get you down for 25,000 IDR (2.5 AUD) or more, the price is up to negotiation.

Padang Padang

Padang Padang is a popular clean semi-hidden beach for surfing into crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean that became popular after the Eat, Pray, Love movie released in 2010.

Stunning scenery worth a couple of pictures but you won’t be able to fully relax at Padang Padang – it is busy with surfers, surf schools, rentals, curious tourists, and wild monkeys.

There is an entrance fee of 15,000 IDR (1,5 AUD). To reach the beach you need to walk down the stairs between the cliffs.

Dreamland Beach (New Kuta Beach)

Bingin Beach’s neighbour with impeccable beach cleanliness despite crowds, Dreamland Beach, also called New Kuta Beach, is a very popular destination for any beach lover who visited Bali at least once.

The beach has a well-known surf break, cafes, and lots of sun loungers available. Avoid visiting the beach after a big storm, as the water will wash onshore debris, tree trunks, and fishing nets – not to worry though, it gets cleaned up pretty quickly.

A small entrance fee of 5,000-10,000 (less than 1 AUD) is necessary to get to the Dreamland beach.

Suluban Beach

Hidden gem in the Bukit peninsula with a stunning cave entrance that you can explore during low tide. It has recently been on many beach guides and it is becoming more and more popular, without sacrificing its cleanliness though.

There are several ways you can access the beach but not much to do once you’re down on the sand besides exploring while the tide allows.

Not suitable for swimming, and we wouldn’t recommend bringing small children, however, there are always quite a few surfers catching waves.

Cleanest Beaches in North Bali

Lovina Beach

The ultimate destination for swimming with dolphins, Lovina Beach is a quiet, clean beach up north.

It may not be the prettiest as it has brownish soft sand and a less scenic background, but it is still a cool spot to walk, grab local lunch, snorkel, watch the sunset or sunbathe. The water on the northern coast is often calm, so you can go for a swim as well.

Pemuteran Beach

If you’re into snorkelling, kayaking, and scuba diving, Pemuteran Beach in Bali is probably one of the best beaches to go to – it is less crowded, with amazing marine life, coral reefs, and hot springs resorts nearby.

North-West Bali has its own charm and you can also swing by the only National Park in Bali if you decide to visit this beach.

The calm waters are light to dark blue and the sand is light brown, which can be why this beach doesn’t often make the list of the best beaches, but the beach cleanliness is definitely one of the best on the island.

Cleanest Beaches on Islands Close To Bali

Nusa islands (Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan) are just a short boat ride from Bali’s port and they do have some aces up their sleeves. The beaches are white sand beaches with bright blue waters, lots of stunning landscapes, surfing, and calm vibes.

Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida

This beach is often known only for the T-Rex cliff and is explored just from the top. And for a good reason. Even though it is probably the cleanest beach on the island, to get down you need to use 400-m zig-zagging stairs with unreliable bamboo railings and it will take you more than 40 minutes to get down and more than 1.5 hr to return.

More to it, the currents are so strong if you get down during high tide, the waves can pull you in.

On the bright side, there is an elevator being built, so we will soon be able to safely enjoy this hidden beach! There is a parking and entrance fee, and a fair share of tourists here, so we highly recommend going early in the morning.

Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida

Crystal clear waters of the Crystal Bay are what gave the name to this beach. It is not only clean and beautiful, but a starting point for a few scuba diving spots where you can see eels, tropical fish, manta rays, and reefs.

The beach is rather small but there are sunbeds, umbrellas, and local eateries to grab a coconut. Another big plus is that the access to this beach is much easier than most beaches in Nusa Penida. There is no entrance fee, but a small parking fee (5,000 IDR/0.5 AUD).

Atuh Beach & Diamond Beach, Nusa Penida

A natural attraction on the far end of Nusa Penida with a huge offshore rock formation you can reach and long stairs leading to a pristine soft white sand beach. Much easier to reach than Kelinging Beach, yet still a challenging hike.

Once at the beach, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views, inviting sun loungers and cafes.

Right next to Atuh, there is another popular beach in Nusa Penida – Diamond Beach. We grouped them together as they have the same entrance and the fee (25,000-35,000 IDR/2.5-3 AUD) covers both beautiful beaches. The parking fee is paid separately (5,000 IDR/0.5 AUD)

Mushroom Bay Beach, Nusa Lembongan

A small beach in Nusa Lembongan, a bay, with Bali Hai bamboo huts on the shore, green hills on one side and fishing boats on the horizon on the other.

Very quiet and romantic beach, clean and well taken care of. The waters change from turquoise to emerald green but are often quite rough to swim.

Pantai Pasir Putih (White Sand Beach), Nusa Lembongan

This long white sand beach with palm trees is one of the best sunset views and loads of unique shells washed onshore. If you love collecting them you will be able to find rare and big items for your collection.

There are a few resorts and cafes around or you can stay right on the beach.

FINNS Beach Club may be Bali’s most famous tourist attraction. It’s appeared in media all over the world, it attracts everybody from A-List celebrities to tourists on their first foreign holiday.

But is FINNS Beach Club as good as people say it is? And is it the world’s best beach club as FINNS and many reviewers claim?

  • A power bank charging service
  • A surf valet service
  • High-speed internet

If you intend to make use of all these services, then the increase in minimum spend for the VIP service is a no-brainer – your benefits are worth a lot more then your additional spending and, of course, that spending is on food and drinks (or tobacco products), it’s not a fee for the services.

There are very few beach clubs in Bali currently making an effort to deliver premium tier services and fewer still that are including them in the minimum spend rather than charging a fee for them.

What Makes FINNS Beach Club The Best Beach Club In The World?

So, we wanted to ensure that our review of FINNS Beach Club was done with some objective criteria rather than just a list of things we love and we’ve broken these down below:

The Location of FINNS Beach Club

FINNS is on Berawa Beach in Canggu. Canggu is one of the most vibrant parts of the island and is currently the number one destination for visitors.

Canggu still retains some of the old Bali charm that has completely vanished from Kuta, Seminyak and Legian but has a huge amount of things for people to do.

From boutique shops to fitness centres, to markets, to rice fields, most of it is within a short walk of everything else.

Berawa Beach itself is an amazing place for surfing and for long walks at sunrise and sunset. There are very few more memorable views than the light show in the sky as the sun sets over the ocean in this part of Bali.

Given that FINNS faces out onto this beach, it means that you get Bali’s best sunset, at no extra cost, when you visit FINNS Beach Club.

The Booking Process, Entrance Fee & Minimum Spend

Every beach club in Bali has a website and a booking process. Unfortunately, not every booking process is equal.

At FINNS Beach Club, they make it super easy, you select the date you want to visit, and then you can choose your exact seat in the venue with any associated minimum spend if you want to reserve a day bed.

If you just want to see what FINNS is about? You can walk-in and take a seat at the bar or in any restaurant with empty seats.

Importantly, FINNS Beach Club does not charge an entrance fee. That means you’re not obligated to spend any money (beyond a drink once you sit down) unless you want to.

Inclusions at FINNS Beach Club

As with nearly every beach club, there’s a towel included with every day bed (one for each person up to the limit of people on the day bed). You also get access to the Wi-Fi network.

VIP members, as we saw above, get a huge list of inclusions for their increased minimum spend including escorted entry & valet service, a welcome drink, an afternoon Spritz, a complimentary snack, an exclusive menu selection, a cold face towel, a complimentary gelato stick, a complimentary locker, priority booking at St Tropez and Monsoon restaurants, sunscreen & face mist, a sunglasses cleaning service, a power bank charging service, a surf valet service and high-speed internet.

This VIP service is unmatched among other beach clubs in Bali. FINNS Beach Club is the only place to provide this level of value to its customers and it’s another reason that we like going to FINNS Beach Club so much.

Service & Security

You can’t have an amazing time without incredible service and we think that the service staff at FINNS are the best on the island.

They’re very pleasant to deal with, kind and attentive and most of all, they don’t feel like salespeople trying to extract every penny of your holiday money out of your wallet at once – which is sadly all too common at some other clubs on the island.

If you need help, you can always find someone within signalling distance and they will be with you in a jiffy.

The security team is also a real credit to the place. In a big club with lots of alcohol being consumed, they ensure that the guests are always kept safe and enjoying themselves.

The Entertainment, Music & Vibe

The best inclusion at FINNS Beach Club is the entertainment. There’s nowhere in Bali that does this better and FINNS is constantly upgrading this aspect of their business.

We’ve spoken to management at FINNS Beach Club and they believe that the happier their guests are, the more time (and we assume money) they will want to spend in their venue.

They don’t like the idea of people being bored for even a second and the entertainment team is there to ensure that you are delighted with endless surprises during your day by the sea.

The music is very much mainstream EDM with a heavy pop influence, so there’s no hip-hop or acid house to be found, this is a good thing – it means that FINNS Beach Club tends to appeal to everyone.

During the day at FINNS Beach Club the vibe is relaxed and chilled as everyone sprawls in the sun by the ocean, but at night? FINNS Beach Club is the best party environment in Bali.

The Menu & Drinks Pricing and Value for Money

FINNS Beach Club has a huge menu that is catered to by seven different kitchens. The good news is that you can order from the menu anywhere in the venue and the wait staff will get the food to you.

That means you will never be without tasty treats and they are very tasty. Yes, the food is more expensive than in some of the warungs and cafes, but it also uses very high-quality ingredients and is served in a high-end setting.

In our opinion, FINNS Beach Club delivers excellent value for money when it comes to the food.

Drinks are also at a premium price (also for the reasons mentioned above) but the alcoholic drinks are strong (unlike in some beach clubs) and they’re beautifully presented.

You will also find that if you spend a day and night at FINNS Beach Club, that the club gives away more shots to its visitors than any other venue in Bali. And who doesn’t like free shots?

There is also a daily happy hour if you want even more bang for your buck.

Finally, in this section, we should note that Tripadvisor ranks the restaurants at FINNS Beach Club as the best in the area and currently, ranks them as the best in Bali too.

The Pool Areas and Seating Options

There are three pool areas and they are each surrounded by unique types of seating. There’s also a green garden spot, where you can lounge on beanbags.

Every seat in FINNS Beach Club is expertly constructed and super comfortable. They’re designed to ensure you have an amazing day lounging by the pool and you won’t be sorry with your choice of seat anywhere in this venue.

The Retail Outlets

We should also note that there are a pair of retail outlets at FINNS Beach Club. One is associated with the ordinary beach club and the other with VIP.

These are great places to pick up some swimwear from both local and international brands. They also sell sunglasses if you need to give your eyes a break from the Bali sun.

Getting to FINNS Beach Club and Leaving Afterwards

One real challenge at some beach clubs is getting there and then getting away afterwards. Bali has a “taxi mafia” at some locations, this mafia will hassle and cajole customers to pay for overpriced taxis rather than use ride shares.

In some cases, the mafia can prevent access to the area by the ride shares and you will have to walk some distance to get a ride.

At FINNS Beach Club, however, if you drive yourself they have parking. If you come by Grab or Gojek, they can drop you at the entrance. And there’s no taxi mafia after you leave, you can use Grab or Gojek to go home. That’s awesome.

Overall – Our Thoughts On FINNS Beach Club

So, without visiting all of the beach clubs in the world. We have to agree that FINNS is the best beach club in Bali and we suspect it’s probably the best on Earth too.

It’s the attention to the little details and the emphasis on good times, rather than how much you can spend, that make FINNS Beach Club so much fun and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any visitor to Bali.

Side Note: About FINNS Recreation Club

Both the Recreation Club and the Beach Club are owned by FINNS but they operate on separate sites and there is less connection between the two businesses than there used to be.

For example, the day pass at the Recreation Club no longer includes access to the beach club.

FINNS Recreation Club houses Splash Water Park (which has been reduced in scale to make room for new Padel courts), Padel Courts, Bounce Trampoline Centre, a Fitness Centre, a lap-sized Swimming Pool, the Body Temple Spa, Strike Bowling, a Co-Working Centre and other leisure activities.

There is also a restaurant and bar called Bistro C at the Recreation Club.

We think that the Recreation Club is a great day out for anyone who is into fitness.

If you want to visit the Beach Club on the same day, there is a free shuttle bus between the two sites, which also stops in various places around Berawa Beach and Canggu.

FAQs

What’s the Best Bali Beach Club?

In our opinion, FINNS Beach Club is the best beach club in Bali by quite some distance. FINNS Beach Club is the most popular club on the island and they say that around 1 in 8 visitors to Bali, will visit FINNS at some point.

FINNS offers world-class entertainment, an extraordinary selection of food and drink, comfortable day beds to relax on and so much more.

Most of all, a visit to FINNS is always interesting which means you stay in FINNS Beach Club because you’re having fun, not because you’re desperately trying to use up your minimum spend before you go home.

Is FINNS Beach Club Worth it?

Obviously, “worth it” means different things to different people but we would say that FINNS Beach Club is very much worth it.

From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, it’s a great place with amazing service, gorgeous pools, an endless number of beautiful people, and incredible entertainment.

The name FINNS is synonymous with Bali. You haven’t really experienced life on this island until you have enjoyed a sunset by the Indian Ocean at FINNS Beach Club and then stayed for the show after the sun goes down.

Sure, it’s more expensive than a meal and some drinks in a local warung, but you get what you pay for and things like world-class sun loungers, endless dining options, fabulous swimming pools, etc. aren’t available in your local warung.

Beach club life in Bali is all about pampering yourself for a day and none of the other beach clubs can hold a candle to FINNS Beach Club in that respect.

Is FINNS the World’s Best Beach Club?

In truth, we haven’t been to all the world’s beach clubs and we doubt that anyone has. However, we believe that at this moment, FINNS Beach Club is the best beach club in the world.

We’ve talked to enough people in Bali and further afield about their experiences at FINNS Beach Club and other beach clubs and we’ve never heard anything but positives about FINNS.

Why is FINNS Beach Club Famous?

FINNS Beach Club is famous because it excels at what it does. The title “world’s best beach club” may have been self-conferred but the people who visit this beach club tend to agree with it.

Many people plan a Bali holiday specifically to visit FINNS Beach Club and the club’s presence is noticeable in many places across the whole island of Bali.

For the moment, it’s FINNS Beach Club that sets the standards that other beach clubs try to follow here in Bali.

What is the Minimum Spend at FINNS Beach Club?

You are not required to have a minimum spend at FINNS Beach Club at all. In fact, walk-in guests may enter FINNS Beach Club for free and then take a seat at the bar or in any of the restaurant options (St. Tropez, Monsoon and Bondi) as long as there are seats available and only pay for food, drink or tobacco products that they consume.

If you want a day bed, you will need to commit to a minimum spend but you won’t have to spend a fortune – a single-seater day bed requires a spend of just 700,000 ++ IDR (That’s $45 USD or $70 AUD) as we go to press. Larger beds work out at even less money per person.

There is a slightly higher requirement in the VIP Service but that includes a lot of extras such as a complimentary locker, cold face towel, surf valet service, sunglasses cleaning service, access to the VIP section, face mist, etc.

Don’t forget that your minimum spend is all put towards what you consume – the bed, the free towels, etc. are provided on a courtesy basis.

Is There a Dress Code at FINNS Beach Club?

You can wear casual clothing of any kind by the pool, but you must wear swimwear if you want to swim in the pool. You cannot wear alcohol or sports branded clothing. Facial tattoos of any kind are not permitted.

There may be a higher standard of dress required in the party restaurants. You can find their full policy here.

What’s the Best Day to go to FINNS Beach Club?

There are no bad days to go to FINNS Beach Club. Even in the low season during the early part of the week, you will find it’s busy and that people are having fun.

There’s no doubt that every trip to FINNS brings something new, however, and you may find that you want to visit more than once, on different days to get everything from your trip.

Final Thoughts on FINNS Beach Club and FINNS VIP Beach Club

So, is FINNS Beach Club the world’s best beach club? We think it probably is. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever visit all the beach clubs in the world to put it to the test but Bali is famous for beach clubs and FINNS is its most famous beach club. And rightly so.

The service is exceptional, the entertainment is legendary, the food and drinks are absolutely first rate and with no entry fee, you can find out for yourself that this is true, without committing to a minimum spend.

We always say to friends when they visit, that if you only visit a single beach club here on the island, you should go to FINNS. That’s not to say that other clubs aren’t good, some of them are, but there’s only FINNS Beach Club and it’s the best in Bali and probably, the best on Earth too.

Best Bali Dating Apps And Dating Sites For Online Dating On The Island

Looking for love? Bali may be the place to forge deeper connections and find a serious relationship but while you’re seeking that special someone, you should know that making a connection can be more challenging than you’d expect.

The good news is that you can easily create a fun date and chat with new people here on dating apps. Some even have a free service to get you started with connecting, so you can enjoy the benefits even on a tight budget.

Who knows? Whether or not you form long-lasting relationships, you may make new friends who share your interests or, at least, your star sign.

Our 6 Best Dating Apps For When You Visit Bali

Boo

Boo is one of the best dating apps in Jakarta and it’s very much focused on creating long-lasting relationships and helping people to find new friends and ultimately, partners.

They use psychological profiling to help people in the Bali dating scene too to help find their perfect date.

It’s open to everyone including those looking for LGBTQIA+ dating and there are over 2 million users in Indonesia.

One of the benefits of using Boo is that you can create a profile and start dating for free. There’s no charge for any of the basic functionality on the site.

Online: Boo

Badoo

Badoo is another free online dating app and it’s one of the most popular Bali dating apps and in Indonesia as a whole.

Because it’s free to start to chat and arrange a date, there are a lot more women on this app than you typically find on paid apps.

However, while many people won’t mind connecting with new people on Badoo, some locals can be very dismissive of foreigners trying to make contact on dating apps.

Make sure you visit someone’s profile and check out their interests and whether they are open to new people before you sign up and send them a message.

Online: Badoo

Bumble

Bumble is a very popular dating app and it’s used in Bali dating and dating all over Indonesia.

We think it’s popular in Bali because it’s a free service and it’s easy to meet new people when you visit a profile on this app.

There are premium features on Bumble that can improve the overall online dating experience but you can chat and meet folks from around the world without paying a penny.

Overall, Bumble is the second largest dating app in Indonesia according to Similarweb rankings as we go to press in July 2024 and the more users an app has, the better your chances of a date are.

Online: Bumble

Tinder

Incredibly, despite being a chargeable app with some fairly hefty fees ($24.99 for a single month, $39.99 if you want to upgrade to Gold) Tinder iss the number one dating app in all of Indonesia.

Here in Bali, it’s very popular for dating foreigners that are just passing through and we need to caution you locals on this site are often not very local and may be expecting cash at the end of their date.

If you want to enjoy the company of new people and don’t mind our conclusion that this is a site for singles to play with rather than where you’re likely to log on to love, Tinder might be for you.

Online: Tinder

Tagged

Tagged is an odd choice of app here in Bali given that its main focus is on the Singaporean market but it does work here.

It is a premium service and it’s essential to pay $9.99 for their premium account each month plus you may need to buy Tagged Gold to facilitate more contacts.

This is one of the platforms that we don’t think we’d use if we were looking for a date in Bali.

We can’t see many locals choosing to visit a dating app that charges a substantial fee (compared to local wages) for a chance to date foreigners.

Online: Tagged

Indonesian Cupid

Indonesian Cupid is part of a large group of dating sites and while you can sign up for free when you visit, there are ongoing charges for using this site.

Singles need to pay between $34.99 a month and $159.99 a year, to try and contact the man or woman of their dreams.

There are various compatibility checks on this app and while we don’t think that it offers great value for money, the fact of the matter is that the Cupid group does match plenty of singles into life time relationships.

It’s one of the peak experiences of online dating.

Notes On The Dating Culture In Bali

Most locals in Bali are not using dating apps to find foreigners for a relationship. That’s because dating in Bali tends to be highly traditional and the local culture is quite conservative.

If we had to offer tips on Bali dating, we’d start with being honest about this and realize that most dating between foreigners in Bali is between tourists to the island seeking fun and friends rather than serious relationships.

Whether you’re in Ubud, Canggu, Kuta, Seminyak, Uluwatu, Legian, Nusa Dua, etc. the Bali dating scene is very similar to that in the rest of Indonesia and local women, in particular, don’t tend to seek out casual partners who are just passing through Indonesia for a week or two.

On Using Dating Apps

We need to put this delicately as this is a family-friendly website but some of the men and women who offer dates on dating apps here, especially locals, may not have the same dating intentions as you do.

While you’re focusing on a relationship of the loving kind, they may be looking for a financial connection, instead.

It’s essential before you meet any man or woman that you match with or connect with online to be very clear about what you are looking for. Be authentic and ensure that you both embrace the same values and have the same needs or you may find that the challenges of dating here are much more than the usual compatibility issues singles the world over face when dating.

Final Thoughts On The Best Bali Dating App

If you visit Bali and just want to lead an exciting life with the occasional date when you’re here then Tinder, Bumble, Boo or Badoo are likely to lead to an enjoyable date.
