The 20 Top Beach Clubs On Earth

FINNS Beach Club, Bali – The World’s Best Beach Club

Address: Jl. Pantai Berawa No.99, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361

Review: FINNS sits on the sun-kissed shores of the Indian Ocean in Bali and it’s the one beach club that sets the standard for all other beach clubs to follow.

Their oceanfront infinity pools are the perfect place to watch people doing water sports on the waves and the spectacular light show when the sun sets over the sea.

They have local and international DJs playing all day and night from the moment they open until it’s time to go to bed.

Their bottomless lunch at the St. Tropez restaurant is one of the best dining deals on this paradise island.

But most of all, FINNS is synonymous with fun and with Bali. 20% of all international visitors to the island go to FINNS.

Many people make their holiday plans around visiting FINNS, it’s an amazing achievement for a beach club that hasn’t quite reached its first decade on Berawa Beach!

One&Only Kéa Island, Greece

Address:? One&Only Keá Island, Keá Island 840 02, Greece

Review: This place is far from the madding crowds of the Athens Riviera and it attracts the cool crowd seeking something a little different on their Greek holiday.

Don’t miss Atria, which may be one of the finest Greek restaurants on Earth and they use only fresh seafood and exciting local ingredients.

Their infinity pool is a wonderful place to spend some time chilling in the warm water, enjoying the view of the sea.

One&Only is a serious party spot that’s all the better because of how exclusive it feels.

Beach Rouge, Grand Baie, Mauritius

Address: LUX* Grand Baie, MU, Coastal Road, Grand Baie 30510, Mauritius

Review: Mauritius may not be the first place that comes to mind when you’re looking for an amazing time at a beach club but Beach Rouge is highly regarded by those in the know.

That’s because the architecture here is out of this world and the work of Kelly Hoppen wasn’t wasted when you see it in your Instagram feed.

They have an excellent resident DJ who knows how to lay down the live music and ensure that everyone has an amazing time.

You also can’t go wrong with the food which delights in showcasing the flavours and ingredients of the local culture, just what you want at the end of a lazy day on a sunbed enjoying first-rate cocktails.

Sublime Comporta Beach Club, Comporta, Portugal

Address: Alameda da Praia do Carvalhal, 7570-782 Comporta, Portugal

Review: We love beach clubs that try to state their case with their name alone and this chic beach club which is part of the Sublime Group is very much trying to wow people from the outset.

Of course, they don’t have much time for you to see for yourself as this club is only completely open for four months of the year (June, July, August and September), so plan accordingly.

If you do visit you will find that this spot on Carvalhal Beach is a place where the European well-to-do and well put-together spend their summers in the sun.

Alemagou, Mykonos, Greece

Address: Greece, Mikonos, Greece

Review: Mykonos is a very popular destination for Europeans seeking some island sun and Alemagou is its most upmarket club.

This isn’t a place for flip flops and wife-beater t-shirts, the dress code is smart casual and (most people opt for something very smart, indeed) you won’t get in if you don’t look the part.

We think you’ll be glad you make the effort when you see the photos of you amongst the beautiful people on your Instagram feed following a trip to Alemagou.

However, like many clubs in Europe, this place closes down after the Summer and you won’t get the full experience unless you get there while the sun is out.

Le Sereno Al Mare, St Barths

Address: 97133, St Barthélemy

Review: This is one of the most unusual clubs as it is in a French enclave but everyone in this club speaks Italian, nothing else.

Having said that, it’s an amazing place for incredible food by the golden sands of the pristine beaches in the area.

You will also find that the clientele is among the most elegant and discerning that you’re going to meet in this secluded part of the world.

Nammos, Dubai

Address: Beach, Four Seasons Resort – Jumeirah – Jumeirah 2 – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

Review: Nammos is at the Four Seasons Resort in Dubai and they’ve gone all out to make it like its namesake in Greece, even down to hiring Greek-speaking waiters!

If you like Four Seasons style service and you’re prepared to pay for it (this is a pricey place) then you will love Nammos.

Enjoy your tasty drinks in a VIP cabana wearing casual chic and the sun-kissed days will just slide by.

Blue Marlin, Ibiza

Address: Cala Jondal, s/n, 07800 Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain

Review: Blue Marlin Ibiza is no longer the biggest draw on the island but we think that’s a good thing, you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere without the incredible crowds of days gone by.

Their menu is very creative with their deep-fried scorpion fish one of the most famous fine dining items in Ibiza.

You’ll also find that the cold drinks at this place in the Balearics are just what you need to relax the day away.

Gitano Beach, Tulum, Mexico

Address: Av Boca Paila KM 9.5, Tulum Beach, Zona Costera, 77780 Tulum, Q.R., Mexico

Review: This is part of a chain of clubs (they also have presences in Miami and New York) and it has some amazing views.

The emphasis here is on being a day club and that means no night time parties and a chilled creative village-style vibe.

Their food offering is incredible and it’s nice to kick back and enjoy the world going round, while you listen to the chill out tunes served up by their DJs.

Republiek Bloemdaal, The Netherlands

Address: Zeeweg 94, BLM 1, 2051 EC Overveen, Netherlands

Review: From the Arabian Gulf and the Aegean Sea, we find ourselves in rather a different spot – The Netherlands on the North Sea.

Yes, this isn’t the sunniest spot on our list but it is a lovely place to relax and enjoy amazing food.

The Van Spit Restaurant is the big draw at this club and people come even in the middle of winter to chow down and enjoy s some stunning views.

Casa Jondal, Ibiza

Address: Cala Jondal, s/n, 07839, Balearic Islands, Spain

Review: They have a former El Bulli chef running the kitchen at Casa Jondal and you’re guaranteed to have the meal of your life here.

We also find it interesting how they went with a very casual chic staff uniform with a touch of retro 90s pop star about tit, it looks awesome.

This is where the jet set hang out in Ibiza and just turning up to one of the live music events at this club shows you’re in the know.

Scorpios, Mykonos, Greece

Address: Paraga, Mikonos 846 00, Greece

Review: This place has been around for a long time, though you wouldn’t know it from the elegant internal design.

From the driftwood tables to the emphasis on local culture, this a beach experience you won’t forget in a hurry.

It’s an upmarket party destination which is popular among the truly young and beautiful who have tired of Ibiza and are seeking the next big European thing.

La Réserve à la Plage, Ramatuelle, France

Address: Chem. de l’EPI, 83350 Ramatuelle, France

Review: The beach that this beach club stands on was ordered to clear up its act during the pandemic years and this place is very different to what was there before.

It’s a sustainably designed beach club that is all about showcasing the French Riviera without leaving a mark on it.

They also have an amazing two-star Michelin Chef running the onsite restaurant La Voile.

Club 55, Saint-Tropez, France

Address: 43 Bd Patch, 83350 Ramatuelle, France

Review: This cool beach club grew from humble beginnings when it was used as a canteen while they shot the movie, “God Created Woman” starring Birgit Bardot.

Now, it’s a haunt of the serious Western A-List and you could easily run into Kate Moss or Beyonce walking the halls here.

The fine dining here is on another level, but be warned, you must book a long time in advance to have any hope of getting in and forget coming in July or August, these slots are sold out years in advance.

Azura Peri-Peri Beach Club, Mozambique

Address: Benguerra Island, Mozambique

Review: Mozambique is an interesting place to have a beach club and this is one of the world’s most remote feeling beach clubs.

You will be on an island with just the bar tenders, your fellow guests and the beach club.

You’re free to explore, indulge in water sports and, of course, to sample the excellent food and drink menu.

It’s how we’d like to be stranded on a tropical island, frankly.

The Peligoni Club, Zakynthos, Greece

Address: Agios Nikolaos, Volimes, Ag. Nikolaos 290 91, Greece

Review: This spot is very much designed for families and if you’re looking for a beach club to take the children to, you should consider The Peligoni Club.

You will find that the clever multi-room layout allows for a lot of freedom to do your own thing, while your kids have an amazing time.

Check out the program of visiting chefs and workshops before you book – you can learn a lot about personal wellness at this club.

Beach Club Hvar – Hvar, Croatia

Address: Šetalište Tonija Petrića 3, 21450, Hvar, Croatia

Review: The only thing missing at this club is some private villas, otherwise this stretch of private beach is interesting and dramatic.

You can only come between June and September as the weather here isn’t always ideal for the beach.

But if you can get there, you will find one of the most exciting and glamorous party spots that you’ve ever visited.

Maçakizi, Bodrum, Turkey

Address: Göltürkbükü, Narçiçeği Sokak, 48400 Göltürkbükü Bodrum/Bodrum/Muğla, Türkiye

Review: The Bodrum Peninsula is where Turkey’s rich and famous spend their summers and this spot on the Aegean Sea is full of the local A-list.

You will enjoy amazing views over the water here and the infinity pool is first-rate.

The best thing about this club, though, is the music policy and their DJs offer world class entertainment that rivals anything that Ibiza has to give.

La Caseta, Barcelona, Spain

Address: Av. de Josep Tarradellas, 123, Planta 9, Distrito de Les Corts, 08029 Barcelona, Spain

Review: What could be more exclusive than a member’s only beach club? And that’s what La Caseta is.

However, you can still enjoy a reservation at their restaurant without joining the club and get a taste of how the other half live.

The views over Garraf Beach from here are worth the cost of the amazing seafood meal.

Olive Bar & Kitchen, Goa

Address: Unit 1, Vagator Helipad Big Vagator, Anjuna, Goa, 403509, India

Review: This is a super swanky spot in India with an incredible view of the ocean and the local countryside, depending on where you sit in the venue.

The food is very good, but a touch expensive considering where you’re dining.

However, the overall ambience make this place a must-see if you’re passing through this Portugeuese-speaking enclave.

FAQs

Which Is The World’s Best Beach Club?

By common acclaim, it’s FINNS Beach Club in Bali. We think it’s hard to beat hanging out at their St. Tropez or Monsoon restaurants or kicking back in their oceanfront infinity pool with some wonderful cocktails.

And the world-class entertainment that this club provides eclipses many beach clubs even before they get going.

Is FINNS The World’s Best Beach Club?

Yes, we think FINNS is probably the best beach club in the world. We haven’t visited every club and beach bar on Earth, mind you, so we can’t swear this is true – but our experience tells us that we’d have heard of anywhere that rivals FINNS and we haven’t.

Every night crowds gather at FINNS to enjoy the swimming pools, and live music from local and international DJS, have direct access to the natural beauty of Berawa Beach and appreciate the lights in the sky as the sun sets.

You often have to book ahead to secure a day bed (sun lounger) at FINNS even when the other beach clubs in Bali are nearly empty. We think it’s the VIP service that treats everyone like rock stars that keeps people coming back again and again.

Does Australia Have Beach Clubs?

Yes. However, Australia has been a slow entrant to the beach club scene and many of the best beach clubs run by Australians are in Bali rather than Australia. (Though others like Potato Head Beach Club are very much run by local people).

Australia has beach clubs in most major tourist destinations and we’d expect each beachside haven to improve over time. A good beach club brings so much opportunity to an area that it rarely makes sense to continue with a few beach bars when a club is better.

Where Is The World’s Biggest Beach Club?

Serene Beach by Gaia in Dubai currently holds the title of the world’s biggest beach club by area. And FINNS in Bali is probably the world’s biggest by volume of customers and reputation.

We expect to have to revisit this question every 2 or 3 years as places around the world vie to cover more land area than the last beach club. However, we’d be surprised if any club knocked FINNS off the top spot with visitors any time soon.

The Last Word On The Best Beach Clubs In The World

Beach clubs are a relatively new invention but their popularity has ensured that you can find a beach club everywhere that you can find a beach and many of these places are amazing.

From a chic beach club with private cabanas on a private beach to luxurious beach clubs on the sun-kissed shores of Bali to a classic beach club by the Atlantic Ocean or the North Sea. There’s a beach club on the water’s edge for everyone.
